The first birthday Cake Smash!

It’s always fun to end the first birthday portrait session on a messy note!  When your baby turns one they usually have their first taste of something sweet…. their first birthday cake!  I just love capturing this little tradition in photographs!  You just never know what type of reaction you are going to get!  This sweetie just wasn’t quite sure what to make of this delicious cake made by Fratelli’s Pasty Shop (my favorite bakery!).

Sweet Little Niamh

We met at Webb State Park in Weymouth, which borders Hingham. The weather was just perfect, very comfortable and sunny.
It was towards the end of the day, close to this little one’s bed time but she did just beautifully! Happy and curious is how I would describe her. Just a joy to photograph!

I love her Gaelic name, and and I must admit I had to search online for the meaning once I returned home. It’s very fitting for sweet little Niamh.

niamh “radiance, lustre, brightness.”

The pronunciation is different than what is suggested online. Rather than “nee + iv” or “neev”
Different parts of Ireland pronounce it differently. Niamh’s Daddy is from Cork. They pronounce it “nee-iv” (Thank you Stephanie for the correction!) I just love unique and special names!

Here is a sampling of a few of the favorites I have edited so far. We did do a cake smash outdoors, I may share a few from that as well.

Mimi is growing up!

I’ve said this before, but I just love repeat clients.  Seeing these children grow year after year is such a treat for me.  This year I really noticed how much Mimi is so lady like and funny at the same time!  Thoughts!  She’ll know what that means…  Too darn cute

Here is one from our first session four years ago, taken in Scituate.

and here is a sampling of some of my favorites from their recent session.

Thanks guys, I had such a great time photographing you all!

A very special day for the Ford Family

I honestly can say that I feel truly blessed to know this family and witness yesterdays activities.  I was honored to photograph the legal adoption of not one but two precious little boys into the Ford Family!   It was a very emotional time for everyone in the room!  The boys did such a great job!!!  They are such sweet little guys!!!

Here is a sampling of images taken at the court house.  I will be posting images from the celebration which took place at their beautiful home shortly.

Congratulations to you all!  You have such a beautiful family!  I’m so very happy for you all!!!

Matthew is turning two…where did the time go?

I photographed sweet little Matthew after he was born just about two years ago:

That was Matthew at 2 months.  Here he is at 2 years (well, almost)!!

Matthew is a happy, playful and energetic little boy!  Thanks Melissa and Jason for the opportunity to photograph your precious little boy again!

Two adorable sisters

Sometimes they just make my job so easy.  This is the perfect example.  Rosie was the perfect little model.  I really think she enjoyed the whole experience today.  A new spot to explore and such a sweet big sister!  Her baby sister Celia was such a little peach!  Such a happy little baby girl!  Here is a little sneak peek for you!  Enjoy!

Two sweet ones

I photographed this sweet little girl about a year and a half ago when she turned one.  She now has a baby brother who is just as sweet as she is!  I always love seeing how much children grow between sessions.  I love this little girls personality.  So many times I had to stop taking pictures because she had me laughing that much!  I just adore photographing toddlers, they are becoming their own little person and it’s so much fun to watch!

Here are a few for now:

For Grandma

Shanya and her brother’s Rocco and Jake have never been professionally photographed together.  Their sweet Grandma in Ireland has been asking for a photograph of all of them together for years.  This year we’ll make her wish come true!  A wonderful surprise Christmas gift for her that I’m sure she’ll cherish!

Lily and her brothers

We photographed Lily and her brothers last weekend.  One of the brothers had a broken leg and I wanted to be sure he was as comfortable as he could be.  He did a great job (I never thought he’s make up the stairs to my home!)!  What a beautiful family!

and one of Lily with another neighbor Shayna

My little ones!

I don’t share them often enough…or should I say I don’t photograph them often enough!  My children, Meghan and Stephen.  It was time for the annual holiday portraits, to be given as gifts to my family.

Stephen tends to be very silly in front of the camera.  Actually he couldn’t stop giggling the entire time.  I love this little boy!  Meghan is sweet and loves the camera.  She had her ideas for all sorts of poses.

The group shot is the photo to be shared with family.  The others are just for fun, or for me!
